Legal Services on Unfair Competition Disputes between Shinco and Thakral

Shinco VCD used to be one of leading brands in China, still accounting for a big share in the market of VCD player. Thakral, a company also manufactures VCD players, is an enterprise invested by Japanese investors. In its sales campaign, Thakral produced materials of offset information, in which it belittled Shinco’s products whilst raised its own, which was an act of unfair competition. Mr. Chambers Yang accepted appointment from Shinco, and lodged solemn representations to Thakral regarding the issue. At last, the parties entered into a settlement agreement.
